Dear Members
Wish you a Happy Indian Independence Day! On this great occasion, it would be very important for us to take a pause, reflect internally on what we can do to make the Nation better than today, and to restore Her great heritage and pride.
It is only appropriate to note Periva's concern on what could potentially happen if we do not maintain discipline, especially when there is new found independence.

Despite His clear warnings so early decades ago, we have failed to remain within the limits of discipline which has caused the extent of damage that we are suffering today. From being the most advanced civilization ages ago - a level that other civilizations could dream of, to where we are today - trying to compare ourselves with the other developed nations and expecting to pull up and reach the higher altitudes, we have come DOWN a long way.

However, all is not lost and we can still retrieve the situation and work together in establishing a sense of belongingness, discipline and a pride of our traditional culture amidst our people. Sure it is going to take lot of time and effort to accomplish this, but let us take a pledge on this occasion to work towards this and make every possible small change in this direction - instill a sense of discipline in ourselves, within our circle of family & friends, get back the sense of punctuality, worship cleanliness, re-establish the Bhakti tradition which will bring in the Divine Blessings for our society.
We must also reopen the doors of godly respect to all women - remember Periva tells us this: "Any woman other than one's wife must be respected as one's own mother." - if only this is practiced, would we ever come across all these unfortunate incidents we are seeing in the recent years?
More importantly we must start/restart worship of our country as the "Bharat Maata" who has given us all Her wealth and is expecting us to grow up as Her sons and support Her in return. Let us feel the indebtedness to our Country and do our best to pay it back at the earliest.
At this juncture, it would also be important for us to know a few intricate developments in the development of Indian Constitution and how Periva's thoughts influenced the same. Read this wonderful message from our respected member Sri Cnupne: periva.proboards.com/thread/1881/ideal-prophet-age
