“Aarambhi Vandeena” is a well-known composition ( in Marathi) of Swami Samarth Ramdas who was Maharaj Shivaji’s Guru . Listening to it is a pleasure. I am providing this Bhajan in Marathi, English with roughly translated meaning.
In Devanagari Script:
In English:
Arambi vandin aayodhecha raja bahktichiya kaja pawat ase pawat ase maha sankti nirwani ramnam wani ucharit ucharita ram hoy pap char punyacha nishya punybhmi punybhumi punywantashi atwe papiyanathve kahi kelya kahi kelya tuze man paltena das mahne jan savdhan.
Roughly translated, the meaning of this song goes like this:
At the beginning, I will praise the King of Ayodhya, One who is ever present for the salvation of devotees He ends the greatest of our distress when we utter His name Uttering "Rama" destroys sins, Punya (good merit) is a certainty This sacred land is remembered only by the good people, The sinful cannot enter it by whatever means Your mind is still trapped by worldly desires, Ramadas tells you to “'be vigilant."
