Dear Members,
We are pleased to bring you the Seventeenth edition of the e-book series from the Kanchi Periva Forum. As you might be aware, we have been regularly publishing free ebooks with a view to disseminate knowledge about the Hindu tradition & culture, and more importantly carry the message of Sri Maha Periva to our members by setting His discourses within the appropriate topic and in the right context for the readers to read and relish the same.
This month being the special occasion of Vinayaka Chaturthi, we are publishing this special ebook that contains the story of “Vinayaka Chaturthi” amidst many other interesting tidbits of Syamantaka-Upaakyaanam, as beautifully explained by Sri Maha Periva. We have made this ebook a very simple one with few images of Periva & Vinayaka, and have provided both the English and Tamil versions of the wonderful original content.
Here are a few more wonderful resources from our archives, which you would enjoy (links included within the ebook also):
• Periva’s discourse about Vinayakar, made as a beautiful video with images of Periva & Vinayakar
• Our Vinayaka Chaturthi ebook of 2012, including receipes for naivedyams and 16 namas of Ganesha
• Vinayaka Chaturthi Pooja Vidaanam and detailed procedures – from VedaRahasya.Net
• 2013 Vinayaka Chaturthi Pooja Sankalpam booklet – shared by our respected member Vedic Ravi
Here is the link to download the ebook: docs.google.com/file/d/0BwuDCferB6sJT0ZyR3lJTnVRZ0E/edit?usp=sharing
As you might be aware, this is the latest in the series of ebooks which we have brought out on "The Essence of Hindu Tradition & Culture". If you are interested to take part in this seva as an author / co-author, or if you wish to submit your feedback on the same, please write to us at: kanchiperiva@gmail.com
We also invite you to regularly visit our parent website www.periva.org which has a rich treasure of information, articles and a large collection of direct audio files of Periva's Upanyasams.
Note that once the file opens up in Google, you can save it to your local drive (Ctrl+S works in most browsers) and view it at leisure. Some of the photos and letter layouts also look better in a local copy, rather than the online version rendered by Google.
Please feel free to distribute this to appropriate circles of friends and relatives.
