A doubt regarding combining Sandhyavandanams

During certain times when you are travelling or when you are not at home at the appropriate time to perform your Sandhyavandanam -- Pratha sandhya, maadhyanikam and sayam sandhya -- Can we combine two Sandhyas into one session of sandhyavandanam. For e.g. while taking sankalpam can we say "Mamopaatha ...... Maadhyaanikam evam Saayam Sandhya Upaasishyae..." ?

We are supposed to find time to perform sandhyavandanam. Madhyahnikam can be performed even at 0830 AM as a last resort, if there are time constraints. But combining two sandhya with a sankalpam may not be appropriate.

If you are stuck outside for late hours,you can perform sayam sandhya as soon as you reach home, before dinner.

I am sure it is not permissible. If for any unavoidable reason one is not able to do what I have been told by my grand father some 60 years before is ' recite the mantras'. It is equally effective. As much
as possible I am following but I will not I am a follower of 100%. I am yet to find a Hindu as devoted as a Muslim - this may annoy some persons

No, Argyapradhanam is only one of the activities to be performed. It is supposed to be our duty towards the Sun God for fighting Asuras who try to create obstacles for the Sun God. Performing that alone cannot be a complete anushtanam of Sandhyavandanam.

As scholars used to say "Where there is a will, there is a way" - if this is taken as a duty with shraddha, you will always find ways to do this regularly.

thanks for best wishes. I wish to do daily 108 gayathri's before 5.30 am but not able to do it as i have to catch the company bus bt 5.45 am, hence arghyapradanam alone most of the days .

Also, i do not know we can do gayathri japam before sunrise.

Sandhya worship to be performed in appropriate time.
The time is classified into 3.
Mukhya kala, Kauna kala & Prayaschitha kala.
Mukhya kala is appropriate time.
Kauna (Grace period) is 3 nazhika ie 72 minutes from the end of mukhya kala, beyond which it is termed as Prayaschitha kala for which penalty by way of giving one more arghya pradhanam with athma pradhikshnam is prescribed.
(Eg) Poorva ahnika (Pratha sandhya) broadly divided into 2 parts.
Core being Argya pradhanam & Gayathri japam Rest everything is Angam (Peripheral). One should get up during Brahma muhurtham chant pratha smaranam, finish morning ablutions, start sandhya vandanam and give the argya before the sunrise. (arunodhaya kalam). Then only, Mandheharuni who humiliates the sun god are being driven by the argya tirtha which is propitiated with gayatri mantra. While sun rise is happening, the part 2, ie, chanting gayatri japa should take place. 1008 is Uthamam ( 1st class), 108 is Madhyamam (2nd class), less than 108 is 3rd class. But any cost it should not be 10. because, only during asaucha (impurity) period one should chant 10.
If at all, during travelling etc, when somebody is not in a position to do the argyapradhan etc, just chant entire process in mind. But atleast minimum level purity viz, leg wash after urinating etc has to be maintained. Without this minimum level purity, even mantra patanam is not to be done. After reaching the destination, with due prayaschitha, belated worship should be done.
Simply on the pretext of persons, places & events we cannot combine the sandhya worship.
