Temple Visit, Daily Abhishekam at Home, Kolam

My father attained Sivalokaprapthi 6 months before.

1. My question is me being kartha a few people say that I should not visit temple with dwajasthambam, kuladei am and temple on hills. Can I visit all other temples.

2. We have saligramam, srichakram, pilliar idol at home. My mother used to do Abhishekam for that. Can she do that.

3. Should we not put Kolam in front of our house until varushapthigam.

4. I understand that there are 96 tharpanam to be done a year. However mostly only ammavasai is followed. Can someone tell me the difference in mantras for the different tharpanams.

ONLY YOU MAY VISIT ALL OTHER TEMPLES. LADIES SHOULD NOT D O ABHISHEKAM TO SALIGRAMAM . EXCEPT ABHISHEKAM LADIES CAN DO ALL OTHER 15 UPACHARAMS. NAVA AAVARANA PUJA SHOULD NOT BE DONE UNTIL VARUSHABDEEKAM FOR SRICHAKRAM. ABHISHEKAM CAN BE DONE DAILY AND SMALL ARCHANA , DOOPAM, DEEPAM , NEYVEDHYAM MUST BE DONE DAILY. LADIES MAY DO ABISHEKAM ALSO FOR PILLAYAR IDOL. YOU SHOULD NOT PUT KOLAM IN FRONT OF YOUR HOUSE UNTIL VARUSHAAPTHEEKAM.

. THERE IS NO DIFFERENCE IN THARPANAM MANTRAS. SAME THARPANAM MANTHRAS FOR ALL THE SHANNAVATHY==96 THARPANAMS. ONLY SANKALPAM WILL VARY AS PER MONTH, RITTHU, AYANAM, DAY, THITHI, STAR, AND DOING FOR AMAVASAI. MAATHA PIRAPPU, VYATHEEPATHAAM, VAITHRUTHI YOKAM, MANVAATHI, YUKAADHI, MAHALAYAM, ASHTAKA,ETC. iT IS AVAILABLE IN THIS FORUM ITSELF IN SHANNAVATHY THARPANA SANKALPAM .

My eldest brother passed away recently. We had planned to do the first ton suring ceremony for my Grandson ( Son's first child) at Tirupathi in May 2020 as the baby would have completed one year.

There are conflicting opinions that we cannot visit Tirupathi for one year and we should not do Tonsuring.

Is there an alternative? Can it be done at some other Temple? By practice we do Mottai at Tirupathi , Pazhani and Vaitheeswaran Kovil in a span of 2- 3 years.

It will be very difficult to allow the hair grow for one year as already the baby has got good hair growth. Whether my self and my wife can stay away from visit to Tirupathi and instead send my son and his family to complete the ritual.

As some elders are of the opinion that it can be done after 45 days Oona madam, would be grateful if the learned in this group can clarify.

sir, you may cut the hair with your scissors and keep it safely in a carry bag in your house. you may go to vaitheeswaran koil after 2 months . have tosure and return the carry bag hair at vaitheeswaran koil barber and come back.
