Dear Members,
With the bountiful blessings of Sri Maha Periva, we are planning to celebrate His 123rd Jayanti this year in a grand manner on Sunday, the 22nd May 2016. We are making elaborate arrangements to make this a much more special event this year as well. Devotees who attended the pooja last year were witness to quite a few surprises and it is likely to continue this year too.
As usual, the program will run for the entire day - morning session would start at around 7 AM with Sri Mahanyaasa poorvaka Rudra Ekadasini, Abhishekam and Aradhana to Sri Maha Periva, Sri Maha Periva Sahasranama Pooja etc and will be completed with Pushpanjali by all devotees followed by lunch. The evening session would commence around 0430 PM with Lalita Sahasranama Parayanam (being Sunday Rahu Kalam, very special to chant at this time) and Vishnu Sahasranama Parayanam, followed by a wonderful Bhajan program by little kids and then a scintillating discourse on His Holiness by the great scholar Dr R Krishnamurthi Sastrigal, who had the privilege of learning many things directly (first hand) from Sri Maha Periva.
The evening session would conclude with a Thiru Veedhi Purappaadu, Maha Harathi and finally with Prasaadam distribution around 08:30 PM.
Details of the event:
Date: Sunday 22nd May 2016
Time: Event Commencement by 0700 AM IST
Venue: Kanchi Mahaswamy Anantha Mandapam, adjacent to Sri Anantha Padmanabha Swamy Temple, Adyar, Chennai
