OM SRI GURUPYO NAMAHA:,RESPECTFUL PRANAMS TO SRI KANCHI MAHA PERIVA.
Source:-Ganni-a book authored by Sri.Sudarsananda-published in1986 by Sri Baghavt Seva ashram.
About ten years earlier ,before undertaking Kasi Yatra, Sri Periva summoned one Twenty year old ,bachelor, Anantha Krishna Sharma,a resident of Tenkasi and ordered him to go to Kasi by foot and to find out a convenient route to go to KASI by foot.
He also directed him to observe the following instructions strictly.
He should go only on foot, should cook his food by himself, not to drink coffee or tea, carry with him only minimum vessels, cloths, obtain required rice, wheat flower, etc by 'yachakam',not to receive any money or reward from anyone, not to stay at one place for more than one day unless he was unwell,,can tell people on the way that he undertakes this tour at the behest of Maha Periva and finally post a card to Madam daily, without fail, about the places visited and other tour details .He should also intimate Madam the nature of the way ( ROUTE ) and should learn HINDI language. and he was told that arrangements would be made for his return journey from Kasi by rail.
With so much tough conditions the devotee took six months time to reach Kasi. On the way he met elders and learned people who all prostrated him despite his request not to do it.He took the journey only during day time.
With the blessings of Maha Periva he successfully completed the journey and returned to MUTT.He also learned Hindi well as instructed by Periva. On return Maha Periva blessed him
Later Sri Kanchi Maha Periva commenced HIS kasi Yatra with the input given / provided by Sri Anantha Krishna Sharma. What a great Privilege this lad of twenty years old had! No doubt he had Periva's Achirvathams in full. Only very few would be blessed like this. Because of Acharya's Kadaksham the boy could accomplish this tough assignment with full faith and dedication to Maha Periva.
Jai Jai Sankara, Hara Hara Sankara. Siva Siva Sankara.
Chandrasekhara Pakimam, Chandra sekhara Rakshamam
Kanchi Maha Periva Thiruvadigal Saranam
