Dear Members, As most of you would be aware, Sri Maha Periva 122nd Jayanti is to be celebrated this year on 2nd June 2015 - likely to be on a Pournami day. We are making elaborate arrangements to make this a memorable, special event this year as well. And there are some very sweet surprises in store for those who would be attending this personally. We will have two sessions of programs during the day - one in the morning session with Abhishekam, Laksharchana etc and will get over with lunch/ prasadam to attendees. And the second session would be in the evening commencing with Lalita Sahasranama Parayanam (being a Pournami day, and Periva's special attachment to this makes it even more compelling for us to chant) and going on to conclude with upanyaasam about His Mahima, concluding with Prasaadam distribution again. Details of the event: Date: Tuesday 2nd June 2015 Time: Event Commencement by 0800 AM IST Venue: Kanchi Mahaswamy Anantha Mandapam, adjacent to Sri Anantha Padmanabha Swamy Temple, Adyar, Chennai The trustees of Dharma Paripalana Sabha and Guhananda Charitable Trust have come forward to join us in this great celebration yet again and we have decided to conduct this in a grand fashion, thanks to them. We request you to come in large numbers and obtain Periva's blessings on this special day. We also require volunteers to assist us with the pooja arrangements, crowd management, distribution of prasadam etc. To confirm participation and volunteering, we have published a survey form which we request you to complete. Request you all to take part in this grand celebrations. Please take a minute to fill up the below form. docs.google.com/forms/d/14iMTht_-58qFtiYN7zXNRmlp3ydj7Fz-z5dIieh1mfI/viewform?usp=send_form

HARI OM !
It is really a wonderful event and the enthusiasm shown by every devotee of Maha Periva at the function is commendable and I am sure that OUR NADAMADUM DEIVAM will surely bless all of them and also all other devotees who saw the function MANASEKHAM from their homes.Hats off to the organisers who took great pains to make the function a memorable one. It may be noted that this function clearly demonstrates that SRI MAHA PERIVA has so many followers both in INDIA and abroad. It is also be noted that we have now more and more people turn to spirituality because of Maha Periva and also because of the popularity of KANCHI MAHA PERIVA FORUM which spreads the message of MAHA PERIVA worldwide. We have nothing to do nor to take any credit for this resurgence Maha Periva will do it for us and HIS blessings will be there for ever,
HARA HARA SANKARA SIVA SIVA SANKARA

Namaskaram.
The grandeur of our Periva Jayanthi Celebrations yesterday at Adyar, Chennai is still fresh in mind. This is the third time in a row that we at the Kanchi Periva Forum are celebrating Sri Maha Periva’s Jayanthi is such a grand scale, and every year, Periva gives us new ideas and thoughts to make the event more memorable than the previous one.
While we sincerely thank all our members and volunteers for their active participation and unflinching dedication and commitment at the event, on behalf of all our members, I would also like to thank our respected Administrator of this Forum for giving us all an opportunity to get together in this great Satsang. It was a great day together doing kaingaryam for our Sri Mahaswami, interacting with fellow devotees wherein most of our conversations centred on Periva and experiences of devotees with His Holiness. It was sheer bliss just to be in HIS presence.
Our Administrator has very humbly not mentioned anything about the life-size replica of Sri Maha Periva that you have just seen in the pictures. This replica of Periva was made and brought in just for HIS Jayanthi Celebrations. HE looked so real that none of us could take our eyes of HIM. HIS eyes, HIS beautiful and compassionate smile, and that gesture “Naan Iruken” was enough to make many of our devotees shed tears of joy yesterday at the venue. We at the Foum are extremely grateful to our Administrator for this great blessing he has given us on this very special day.
I was one of the dozens of devotees who reluctantly left the venue with tears in our eyes, just because we had a place called home and had to full fill our lowkeegam duties as well. Given a chance, we would have all loved to spend the entire evening and night in HIS presence, just absorbing His divinity, surrendering all our anxieties and problems at his lotus feet and being convinced that HE is always there to take care of us, when we are sincere and committed to HIS cause. Jaya Jaya Shankara, Hara Hara Shankara!

Hara Hara Shankara Jaya Jaya Shankara!
Heartfelt thanks and kodi pranams to Dharma Paripalana Sabha and Kanchi Periva Forum for giving us the wonderful divine opportunity of witnessing and attending the Jayanthi. I was personally so blessed to attend the whole day ceremony. Periva Anugraham!!!
I reached the Kanchi Mahaswamy Anantha Mandapam in the morning for the Lakcharshana. The First thing which stunned me was Periva himself. He was really sitting there, smiling and showing the Abhaya Hastam saying “Naan Iruken”!!! What a lovely darshan. Fortune enough to get a copy of Maha Periva Sahasranamam and recite that Gnani’s name along with the vaideegas. The Lakcharshana was followed by the Mahadeebaradanai and all the devotees were given opportunity to do Pushpanjali and Namaskaram. This followed by Annadanam – a complete full course meal with Vadai, Paayasam to celebrate His Jayanthi. All the attendees were given the Naivedya Prashadam of Mysore pak, Paanagam, Neer mor, Vibhudi, chandanam which were used for the abhishegam of the Periva Vigraham. Everyone got a book called “Sandhyavandanamum, Gayathri Mantra Mahimaiyum”, by P. Nataraja Sarma
The evening function was the most exciting part. It started off with the Vishnu Sahasranama and Lalitha Sahasranama Parayanam. This followed by the release of the very rare speech of Periva along with the video. I have never seen or heard them before. This video is expected to be available shortly on the Forum as well. This followed by a wonderful Upanyasam on Periva by Nannilam Sri Rajagopala Ghanapatigal. The Upanyasam brought Periva once again in front of our eyes. I had tears in eyes a lot of times, especially when Periva’s reply to the Siddha Purushar who brought a Kamakshi Vigram in front of him. You will understand about this once you see the Upanyasam video.
During the Upanyasam, Ghanapadigal was saying about the Ashta Maha siddhis of Yogis, especially Garima: becoming infinitely heavy and Laghima: becoming almost weightless weightless or reducing the weight significantly. Periva while travelling in the MENA (palanquin) would never tell the people who were carrying to Stop or Proceed. When Periva wants to stop at a place, all of sudden he would start weighing so heavy that the people who were carrying would place the palanquin down and Periva would come out of it. Similarly, Periva would weigh almost like a cotton sponge inside the palanquin, to reduce the strain of the people carrying the palanquin and enable them to carry the palanquin easily. Periva always had his own ways of blessing the people and indicating that he is the “Sarveswara” to the true devotee. Only very few clearly understood this while he was around in the physical form.
You all might wonder why I am telling about only this portion of the Upanyasam. The reason is we all experienced this during the Purappadu. In the afternoon itself, all the volunteers were checking the weight of the plank which would be used for the Purappadu. We all felt it was so heavy and we thought we need lot more people. Before the Purappadu, we started witnessing the blessing of Periva. There were showers around the Adyar area, cleaning the roads through which the Purappadu is going happen. When we all gathered to carry the plank, surprisingly, the plank along with the Periva was very light which easily enabled all of us to carry. The Purappadu was preceded with Shankara Ghosam and Vedic chanting. Both Chandran (Moon) and Varunan (Rain) were doing offering their pranams to the Jagadguru. (It was drizzling slightly and there was moon also). The Kanchi Mahaswamy Anantha Mandapam has to two entrances one in east and one in north which is nearby the first one. When the Purappadu reached the northern entrance, all of a sudden we started feeling that Periva started weighing heavily. It seems Periva wanted to enter through the north entrance itself, as he wanted his bhakathas not to strain. When the Purappadu got over and when we kept the plank with Periva in the mandapam, the first thing we all felt and spoke was about how Periva was adjusting his weight, WHICH WAS EXACTLY THE SAME THING WE HEARD IN THE UPANYASAM. We are all moved to tears.
Perivaloda karunaye karunai.
After this the Mahadeebaradanai was performed and prasadam was distributed to all the devotees.
Overall it was a wonderful day in my life.
Hara Hara Shankara Jaya Jaya Shankara!
