Dola means Oonjal. Dolothsavam, literally means keeping the Lord on the Cradle/Oonjal and swinging it. I like to more about the origin and details of the "Dolothsavam" tradition. In Chicago, there is a Dolothsavam scheduled at a home on June 31. Can any of our learned members provide me more information including the sequence of songs and associated rituals? Thanks.

Thanks to kramans - The references were very useful for me to describe 'Dolothsavam' in detail at a bhajan held in Chicago on June 30. It's a learning process that I enjoy very much.
