Like a magnet attracting iron filings, musical concerts attract millions of people around the globe. It is, therefore, not surprising that even Gods love worship through music. The great musical trinity from the South composed and sang thousands of krithis in praise and worship of different Gods. Even those who do not know Sastras can still enjoy music and offer prayers. Undoubtedly, there is something divine in music that sinks our differences and elevates our souls.
Once, during a conversation with the well-known musician Ariyakudi Ramanuja Iyengar, Periva remarked, "In music, there is no Dvaita - Advaita difference. Only music is important. And music makes the mind of the singer into unison with the song - the protagonist of the song. That is why, 'Shri Subrahmanyaya namasthe' is attached to you - a Vaishnavite - or you are attached to it!"
Sing, listen, worship and spread Bhakti through divine music!
