Source: In the Presence of the Divine Narratives of Experiences with Maha Periyaval - Volume 1 Translated by: Sujatha VijayaraghavanThis happened when Periyava was camping at the Madras Christian College. It was a Sunday. There was a huge crowd of devotees. After the puja was completed, Periyava sat down in a vantage spot to distribute abhiseka tirtha to the devotees who formed a long queue, wanting to receive tirtha from Periyava's own hands. Devotees would fast till they received the prasada, although they knew that it would mean having to wait for long. Periyava who was giving the tirtha prasada, suddenly got up. Those waiting in the queue were worried. "Would he go away for bhiksa? Will we not have the good fortune of receiving prasada from his hands?" Periyava called an attendant with a snap of his fingers. He pointed to the queue and said something to him. The attendant walked past atleast a hundred devotees and went up to a young lady whom he escorted back to Periyava's seat. Periyava sat down and looking at the young lady tenderly gave her tirtha prasada, much to the astonishment of everyone who watched this. The young lady was in an advanced stage of pregnancy. She had taken a cup of coffee at six in the morning and had been fasting since. It was then about three in the afternoon when the prasada was being distributed. Perhaps Periyava heard the voice of the little soul in the lady's belly!

splendid item ! I hurried to assume that Periva would have asked the attendant to advise all waiting people to resume after lunch or something like that. How foolish was my assumption. thanks for sharing. jaya jaya sankara, hara hara sankara !
