About Aadhinaatha Perumal Temple :
This is a very famous Hindu Temple dedicated to Lord Vishnu. This is one among Nava Tirupathi. It is also considered as Guru Parikara Sthalam (Navagraha - Planet Jupiter).
Once Lord Vishnu said to Lord Brahma that before creating him, he stayed near Porunai river. That temple is named as "Aadhi temple", and Lord Vishnu asked Lord Brahma to worship him here. In this place, he advised many things to Brahma as a Guru. This place is called as "Kurugoor'. The presiding deity Sri Aadhinarayan is self formed huge idol. The feet of the Moolavar comes up inside from the Earth.
God Indira got relief from his curse after worshipping Aadinadha Perumal. He got this curse from his parents because he was not treating them well and never obey them. Once, Periyapiratti came there and asked Narayana to marry her. At that time, Narayana converted her as a flower and wore it. . In Pramadhi, Nammalvar was born to Vellalar and Udaya Nangai. When he was born, he didn't cry, opened his eyes and drank his mother’s milk. This is because when the Sadavaayu (air) went inside the body of Udaya Nangai, he made air not to enter and pushed it out.
Because of this, Nammalwar is popularly named as “Sadagopar”. He did not open his eyes because he didn’t want to see anyone except Sriman Narayana, and the same way he wanted to speak only about Narayana. Hence,................CLICK HERE TO KNOW MORE.......Sri Aadhinatha Perumal Temple
